#6 One-to-One Reflections

When people in your organization get more tools for effective communication, good things being to happen all over. I was talking with a manager some time ago who was reflecting on changes that were already happening around the system. She recalled talking to a physician about a bad interaction that had been reported to her. “I felt much more comfortable dealing with the situation,” she said, “knowing that I had the support of my colleagues in our respectful workplace initiative. Just knowing that support was there, and using the one-to-one tips, we were able to resolve the issue on the spot. How very refreshing that was from the old days!
There will always be problems that arise, but having the tools to resolve them without a lot of additional stress is a very big step forward.
